Curriculum Intent
The curriculum at Saighton is broad, creative and exciting. Primarily designed around engaging books, it inspires curiosity in pupils. We believe that independence and enrichment should be celebrated, each experience enhancing learning and helping all children to grow within a Christian environment - "Flourishing together, life in all its fullness."
With a focus on outdoor learning within our Forest School, we aim to enthuse and challenge all our pupils to make the most of where they live and fully appreciate God's world. We encourage extra-curricular activities and participation in sport and performance to further build children's resilience and meet our high expectations of each individual.
We believe first-hand experiences provide the means of self-discovery, self-expression and enjoyment which are both stimulating and fulfilling.
The whole school family work together as a team to bring our curriculum to life, ensuring it is a vehicle for building values and ideals, for developing creativity and enterprise, for enhancing a sense of citizenship and for widening physical, spiritual and academic horizons.
