Spelling Home Learning
National Curriculum Spelling
Each week, usually on a Friday, children will complete a Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar test.
Children are asked to learn all of the spellings from the list, but will only be tested on some of them.
The format of the short test will be as follows:
I will dictate three sentences to the children each containing a word they have practised that week. I will then read out 5 more words that follow the week's rule. The children are not only their spelling, but also the accuracy of their punctuation and grammar.
